Welcome to Little Creek Alpacas. We are a small farm located in Plymouth, IL; just 30 minutes from Macomb, an hour from Quincy, and 2 hours south of the Quad Cities.
Little Creek Alpacas was born out of a great love for animals and a desire to become more self-sufficient and raise our children in a more spiritual setting. We chose alpacas over other livestock because they are docile, earth friendly, and produce a wonderful, luxurious fiber that is better than cashmere. Alpaca fiber is not only soft, durable, and warm it is also flame retardant, water resistant, moisture wicking, and stain resistant.
Alpacas are a great investment and also provide tax benefits whether you have your own farm or choose to board them. Some breeders refer to their alpaca herd as their "walking 401K". We offer free board for six months with the purchase of any alpaca from our farm and will continue to board them for as long as needed at a very reasonable rate. We have enjoyed every moment of alpaca ownership and have found that they are rewarding both spiritually and financially.
Check out our online Farm Store and see all the different things you can do with your alpaca fiber. We have a wide variety of alpaca products including hand knitted items, items from the Co-op and Fiber Pool, yarn, roving (for spinning or felting), needle felting kits, organic cat toys, dryer balls, and even shoe inserts made from alpaca fiber! We have 2 drum carders and a spinning wheel here on the farm and can't wait to open up our Fiber Shop in the spring of 2013! We look forward to our future once a month Fiber Arts Gathering where you can come knit, crochet, needle felt, wet felt, spin and see the alpacas!!
