About Hidden Birch Alpacas

We continue to be a small farm...moving from AK in Aug 2008 and redeveloping our farm in June 2009. It was a difficult transition, but we know we are in the "right" place, able to show our alpacas if we choose, and agisting several alpacas for a developing farm still located in Alaska. We have an interest in great fiber animals and a special interest in the pattern alpacas, as they produce, as we have seen, a wonderful yarn, sought by many!
We know the alpaca industry will continue to grow, despite the economy, and we are ready and willing to "hang in there"! Alpacas continue to be a wonderful investment and a lifelong commitment. We are ready to re-join this thriving industry!
We are always ready to talk alpacas, so feel free to give us a call, send an email, or visit our quiet little farm if you are interested in alpacas in general or any of our alpacas in specific!

Our nearly 10 acres is bordered by the Mark Twain National Forest. It is a beautiful and quiet area! We live on partly wooded and partly pasured acreage, with rolling hill terrain, perfect for the alpacas! They have adjusted well in their first summer here, out of Alaska. The weather has been very temperate, actually, and the longer breeding season compared to AK, has been a big advantage for us. Pauline's farmhouse is on one side of the acreage and Julie's modular home is on the other, so we both have a chance to look out over the fields and enjoy all the farm animals!
We have added, to our new farm here, a LGD, a wonderful and loyal Great Pyrenees, Kyle, who has proven his worth in protecting our investment! Also several guineas, ducks, and a few geese--mostly for tick and general "bug" control--and THEY have proven their worth as well...in addition to providing many good eggs for US! :) Of course, can't forget to mention the cats, poodles, chihuahuas and St Bernard, too! It wouldn't be home without them!
