AlpacaNation: Tell us about yourself...
Harmony Hill Ranch Alpacas (WI): Robert is an owner/operator driving semi for Dart, five rounds a day from Menomonie to Bayport, hauling Anderson Windows. He is home each evening and every weekend to spend time with our herd. Bonnie is a Prevention Specialist working with the River Falls Partnerhsip for Youth and the River Falls School District. We have 10 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and many children who have adopted us as grandparents. Love for our children, grandchildren and the future generations is what keeps us moving forward in our careers and the growth of our wonderful alpaca herd.
AlpacaNation: How did you decide on your farm name? Is there a special meaning behind the name?
Harmony Hill Ranch Alpacas (WI): When we purchased the farm and brought our first 5 alpaca home, we found that life truly felt to be in "Harmony". The evenings and time spent out in the pasture among our herd brings peace and joy to our lives. There has been no stress reliever that has given us the feeling of being in tune with the world than when we are with our herd. To add to the sense of Harmony we have a single hill on the north end of our farm. At the point in time when we can retire and spend all of our time with alpacas, we intend to build a house in the side of the hill overlooking our pastures. Therefore, Harmony Hill is the perfect name for our farm and future.
