AlpacaNation: How did you become interested in alpacas?
Someday Farm Alpacas: We became interested in Alpacas when we were looking for an alternative lifestyle, and a different livestock with more rewards.
We both work and pay into the government while already owning a small farm with many differnt animals, we learned a while back about Alpacas, thought we couldn't afford them at first. Then, did a couple years of saving and researching, and found we could get started and the sooner the better.
AlpacaNation: How long have you been in the alpaca business?
Someday Farm Alpacas: We have been owning alpacas now for almost 4 years.
AlpacaNation: How did you decide on your farm name? Is there a special meaning behind the name?
Someday Farm Alpacas: Everyone asks this...When Dean and I first met, we had more time on our hands and could actually take drives around to see things. We used to go by places and say "Someday we could have that" or "someday we would love one of those" If we work hard enough "someday we could have a small farm to restore." Then, we got the small farm to restore...and it took us 6 months to buy the place all the time saying, "Someday we could have a kitchen in that house" and someday a nice garden" and someday a new barn" When we signed the papers, it was Someday Farm.
We had Someday Farm up and ruinning with what I call the tomatoe vine happening. Someday Farm has many off shoots that come from the main stem.
Now with the addition of Alpacas it is Someday Farm Alpacas, because someday that is all we want to do, is farm alpacas Someday!
