AlpacaNation: How long have you been in the alpaca business?
C&M Acres: We are new to the Alpaca industry as of November, 2006.
AlpacaNation: How did you become interested in alpacas?
C&M Acres: We were looking for animals for our ranch that were smaller than our horses and we came across alpacas in a magazine.
AlpacaNation: What steps did you take to prepare for raising an alpaca herd?
C&M Acres: We started by doing intensive online research on the animals, the industry, etc. We next started touring farms and talking with farm owners.
AlpacaNation: How did you decide on your farm name? Is there a special meaning behind the name?
C&M Acres: Ours was easy. C for Christian and M for Michelle. We live on 20+ acres so ACRES worked easily.
