Purchase Financing, Terms and Conditions

FINANCING TERMS:
For our alpacas, we require a minimum deposit of 5% of the total purchase price. Offering interest-free and interest-bearing finance packages to fit your needs. When financing, FULL mortality and theft insurance on the purchased alpaca is required.
(All rates are subject to change without notice. However, we may honor old rates if you have a printout of the web page no later than 10 days before changes have been updated on our website.)
We accept CASH, Certified BANK check, WIRE transfer, PayPal, Farm check, Personal check or Money order. (Additional bank processing fee of 3% shall be charged to buyer for credit card via PayPal purchases).
Our interest-FREE terms for alpaca sales are as follows (Full mortality insurance on the purchased alpaca is required):
5% down and paid in full within 30 days.
10% down & paid in full within 60 days.
15% down & paid in full within 90 days.
20% down & paid in full within 6 months in 2 quarterly payments.
25% down & paid in full within 1 year in 3 quarterly payments.
Our "standard" monthly financing terms for alpaca sales are as follows (Full mortality insurance on the purchased alpaca is required):
25% down and paid in full in 12 months @ prime +1% interest.
50% down and paid in full in 24 months @ prime +1% interest.
As is standard practice, possession and ownership of alpaca(s) shall be transferred upon payment in full.
We will be happy to talk about alternative financing that works for you. There are many options available. Let us know what works best for you!

BOARDING AND TRANSPORTATION:
If alpaca is purchased from our farm, the first SIXTY (60) days board are free (unless otherwise stated in agreement) then $4.00 per day thereafter (crias are FREE until weaned), discount available for multiple alpacas. Routine monthly maintenance, birthing services and Vet services are at owner's expense (rates are part of the boarding contract, posted and available upon request). Fiber/Pet quality alpacas shall be agisted for up to 30 days free of charge if purchased alone or with other fiber quality animals.
Boarding Capacity: 20 during November-April or 50+ during May-October.
We shall transport animal(s), to anywhere in the Continental United States, that are purchased from us FREE of charge at purchase and paid in full minimum of $10,000 or more. Please call for details.
GUARANTEES AND WARRANTIES:
A sold FEMALE/MALE alpaca is guaranteed to have an anatomically correct reproductive system and be fertile. If by the age of four (4) years the male has not bred a female, and semen evaluation shows inability to fertilize a female, or the female alpaca is claimed by the Buyer to be abnormal and incapable of fertility, then the Buyer will return the alpaca in question to the Seller. Seller will have the right to physical possession of the alpaca in question, for a trial period of up to six (6) months, for evaluation. The Seller will have exclusive control, care and management of the animal and shall attempt to obtain a confirmed pregnancy for the female. If the alpaca in questions is a male, Seller shall attempt to obtain a confirmed pregnancy from the stud service provided by the male. Buyer shall maintain complete records of the veterinary care and breeding efforts with the animal and provide to Seller at commencement of the trail period(see other terms and conditions below).
PREGNANT FEMALE - LIVE BIRTH GUARANTEE: Seller guarantees a live cria will be born to said female alpaca(s). The live birth guarantee is satisfied if the cria survives 120 hours after birth. If the Buyer claims the guarantee is not fulfilled, then Buyer shall provide proof from a licensed veterinarian that the cria died within 120 hours after birth and the cause of death in the event that the pregnancy produces a viable fetus. If these conditions are satisfied to show the live birth guarantee has not been satisfied, then the Buyer's exclusive remedy shall be entitlement to a rebreeding of said female to any of Seller's standing Studs for no additional service fee. Upon first successful completion of a live birth (described above) said female alpaca has fully attained a sound reproductive status thereby releasing Seller from any and all future reproductive warranty claims.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Buyer shall pay expenses of transportation to Seller's ranch for the trial period and tender the animal at Seller's ranch, along with a veterinarian's certificate that the animal is in sound condition of limb and body and free of all infectious and contagious disease. If Buyer is unable to provide such certification, then the warranty and remedy provided by this contract shall be void. If during such trial period the Seller obtains a confirmed pregnancy, then the Buyer shall pay to Seller the costs of all boarding, veterinary care and all other out-of-pocket expenses incurred in the successful trial, or for his/her care. If the trial is unsuccessful, the seller shall be responsible for boarding expenses and veterinary care expenses incurred during the trial.
Should the infertility claim be valid, and no harmful neglect or injury was caused by the Buyer, then the Seller, at his/her option, will either replace the female or male with another of comparable quality at the time of purchase or credit the animal's purchase price which must be applied to the purchase of another of Seller's alpaca(s) of equal or greater value (if greater, Buyer shall pay the difference to Seller), providing further that buyer must convey the animal back to Seller, free and clear of any liens or encumbrances, sign and return the ARI Registration Certificate to the Seller and execute a release of all claims arising out of this contract.
