Boarding/Agisting...
Our monthly agisting fee is $3.50 per day, which covers the cost of actual expenses and daily care. This fee includes feeding (grain, water, orchard grass hay, supplements); secure barn/pastures; livestock guardian dog for security; pasture management; and monthly herd health services. The latter includes Dectomax shots, weighing, record keeping, membrane check, nail trimming, etc. The owner is responsible for their animals’ veterinary bills. The cost of fecals will be separately billed. Additional fee for birthing only. Please request purchase and/or agisting contract for full details.
Note: Negative BVD, negative fecal and health certificate required.
GUARANTEES AND WARRANTIES:
All females sold by Dolce Vita Alpacas (DVA) come with a reproductive guarantee ensuring a live birth. In addition to the reproductive guarantee, all females come with a FREE RE-BREEDING to any of our herdsires. Further, DVA offers an “ensure a girl” guarantee with purchase and breeding contracts. The rebreeding to any DVA herdsire must produce a minimum of ONE female or additional re-breeding(s) will be provided until such time that a female is born. The purchase contract specifies that buyer should schedule a pre-purchase exam using the veterinarian of your choice to confirm the health of the animal. Please request our purchase and/or breeding contract for full details.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
?Breedings are priced as drive-by (bring your female to our farm and take her back home after breeding) or agisted (leave your female at our farm until a 60-day positive ultrasound is performed). The agisted breeding service includes cria at her side, veterinary checks with up to two ultrasounds, routine herd health costs, and board for up to 90 days. Additional board will be at the female owner’s expense and will require an agistment contract. Additional veterinary treatment will also be the responsibility of the female’s owner. NOTE: Negative BVD, negative fecal and health certificate required.
