FINANCING TERMS:
All animals financed must be insured for a minimum of the outstanding balance, with Hurricane Alpacas as the payee for the balance owed.
Standard financing:
1/3 down and balance, at 0% interest, within 18 months on animals over $5,000.
1/2 down and balance, at 0% interest, within 12 months on animals $5,000 and under.
Other terms may be arranged.
BOARDING AND TRANSPORTATION:
120 days free board is offered on all sales, to give you time to properly prepare your farm. Insurance is required on your alpacas while they are boarded at Hurricane Alpacas.
GUARANTEES AND WARRANTIES:
Guarantees are unique based on the animal. The following is a general outline of guarantees that will apply to most alpacas sold by Hurricane Alpacas.
Most maidens will come with a breeding guarantee. If the maiden cannot be bred by the time she is 3 years old, she will be returned to Hurricane Alpacas to attempt a breeding. Hurricane Alpacas will have 9 months to produce a pregnancy. If a pregnancy cannot be obtained in that time, the purchaser can select another female from a group that that Hurricane Alpacas determines is of a similar quality, and will return full ownership of the original alpaca in return for the replacement alpaca.
Most junior herdsires come with a breeding guarantee. If the male cannot produce a pregnancy in a female by the time he is 4 years old, he will be returned to Hurricane Alpacas to attempt a breeding. Hurricane Alpacas will have 9 months to produce a pregnancy. If a pregnancy is accomplished the male will be returned to the buyers after they have signed any registration paperwork necessary for the registration of its offspring, if the female is not owned by the buyers. If a pregnancy cannot be accomplished, the purchaser can select another male from a group that that Hurricane Alpacas determines is of a similar quality, and will return full ownership of the original alpaca in return for the replacement alpaca. The purchaser may also, at the seller's option, be offered a series of breedings from a stud solely owned by Hurricane Alpacas, as a replacement for their male.
Proven females and males are already proven and do not require a specific guarantee, other than the fact that they are proven and there is no known health issue that would preclude them from being bred again.
