 When we bought our first alpacas in 2002, we wanted an unusual but memorable name, one that would reflect the South American heritage of the alpaca. As a result Mount Ampato Alpacas, LLC, is named after a volcano in the Andes Mountains of Peru, an area from which so many beautiful alpacas have come.
