High Plains Gracey

Medium Silver Grey, 20000783, Full Chilean

High Plains Gracey came to us from Canada and brings new bloodlines to the United States. Shown only once, she took the blue ribbon and Reserve Color Championship at the Empire Extravaganza 2005 under Dr. Julio Sumar. Gracey is probably the densest gray we have ever felt. Her sweet disposition and calm demeanor make her a favorite with visitors as well as with us. She is a wonderful mother with abundant milk. Her cria weighed in at 50 lbs at 3 months of age.

Gracey's 2007 male cria out of Grand River Mezcal, is outstanding. He is conformationally correct, carries himself with pride, has a beautiful head and a dense but soft fleece with good character. He already has an outstanding record in the show ring: Madigan took the blue ribbon in a class of 15 at the North American Alpaca Show, winning over some of the best black juvies in the country. He repeated the blue at the Empire Extravaganza 2008 in another tough class of 15.

Gracey's 2008 cria is an outstanding true bl

  Patagonia's Neruda
    Medium Silver Grey, 814613

We bought Patagonia's Neruda at the 2007 Futurity Show and Sale and he is now part of our group of elite Herdsires. His previous owners at Alpacas de la Patagonia considered him one of their top three herdsires. Patagonia reserved those herdsires for client use only and as a result, outside breedings to Neruda have ALWAYS been restricted. He was "a cornerstone of their black and grey breeding program" giving them their "FINEST black and grey fleeces that are virtually free of medullated fiber". At 8 years of age his histogram is 23.1m/5.3sd/22.9cv/9.2%>30. Neruda's crias are easily identifiable by their extremely fine fleeces, beautiful heads, substantially thick bone and extensive fiber coverage. With more than 120 crias on the ground, Neruda has proven that when bred to black or grey females, 96% of the resulting offspring have been black or grey in color.

Neruda's sire Shackleton, a black male brought from Chile, was for many years one of the finest fleeced males found in

  Micron Count

Blue black and beautiful! This little Neruda daughter is awesome. She has strong bone, correct conformation and DENSE and CRIMPY fiber. Her dam is a Reserve Champion silver gray from High Plains Alpacas in Canada and brings new bloodlines to the Northeast. Watch for her next Spring.
