AMB Zambezi's Dora

True Black, 1294071, Full Chilean

Dora hit the ground running and she hasn't stopped since. She is the spitting image of her proud sire, Canzelle's Zambezi. Dora is blue black with dense, dense fiber and crimp right down to her belly and under her tail. Her conformation is excellent and she carries herself with confidence and pride.

Dora was a slow starter which explains why she was not shown more often. But this past year, she has grown and blossomed and is now the proud mother of a lovely young female cria out of Champion Quarry Ridge Zorro.

Dora will be bred to Patagonia's El Chono for a Fall 2009 cria. This should be a super breeding! And she sells with another breedback to the Quarry Ridge herdsire of buyer's choice.

  Quarry Ridge Zorro
    True Black, 1164961, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Beautiful black son of PHAR Traveler (1/2 Accoyo Elever son) and Papichula, a bay black El Negro daughter. This guy has it all: perfect conformation, heavy bone, fiber that is silky fine, lustrous with exceptional crimp and bundling, a lovely head and the sweetest personality you can imagine.
Although he was out of the show ring for almost a year due to an injury, his awards speak for his quality. He has always shown as true black, and has won numerous ribbons and 3 BLACK COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP banners.
Zorro settled his first females in Fall 2006 and has 2 beautiful crias on the ground - one female and one male. Both are incredibly solid-boned and dark.

To encourage local customers we are offering a 15% discount if you drive by your female to one of our males.

Zorro is Co-Owned with Tamarack Meadow Farm, Barrington, NH

Born on a beautiful October day, Jitterbug was up and dancing in an hour and she hasn't stopped yet. She played with us like a puppy for several months but has now assumed some degree of decorum. True black, with a lovely, typey head, Jitterbug carries a soft-handling, crimpy fleece similar to that of her award-winning sire, Quarry Ridge Zorro, well-known for his outstanding fleece characteristics, now standing in New Hampshire.J'Bug comes from a long line of true blacks but carries gray recessive genetics from her gandsires on both sides of her pedigree.

First cria of a True Black Zambezi daughter, AMB Dora, Jitterbug was healthy from the start with an IgG of 3,200. Not bad for a first time mom! She has grown out to be an elegant young lady and will be ready to breed next Spring after she shows this Fall.

J'Bug is offered with a transferable breeding to any of Quarry Ridge's outstanding herdsires. You can purchase her individually or in a package with light silver gray Plum Blossom for $13,000. What a stunning pair!
