  Silver Sterling

Sterling is an awesome quarter accoyo grey alpaca with that wonderful "lingering fineness" . Everywhere I take him, people say "what a beautiful animal!" His phenotype is absolutely perfect-his genotype-PROVEN- same high caliper. Sterling did it again with Richie Rich, his OUTSTANDING CRIMP & bundling density, unbelieveable for a true black! He is an extremely proud alpaca like his sire, Accoyo Inca Danseur (out of Cordero), & his leg coverage is completely unrivaled for any color class. He gets his wonderful fleece ( 21.7 micron in 2005!)from a combination of the accoyo sire, & the beautiful champion dam, Dona Savia. Dona was halter & fleece champion in yearling females, medium silver grey at AOBA Nationals 1998 (shown by Libby Forstner of Magical Farms). Sterling has an incredible staple length of 6 inches on his yearling fleece. He has a butter soft hand with wonderful density & STILL no guard hair!! You have to put your hands on him to believe it! Sterling has some spots o

Leo is quite a handsome jr. herdsire. He shows very full coverage, on a typey square, well built frame. Solid as a rock. He sports a wonderful full head. His fleece is wonderful. Crimp from skin to the tip. Crimp from the topknot to the tail, extending into the belly area too. Consistant in style across the body and consistant in color with no white or light fibers to be found. Handle? Absolutely spectacular!

Leo also comes from a wonderful colored background. His sire is Sterling Silver, an incredible grey herdsire who is still showing in the mature classes and taking top ribbons. Leo is following in his sire's footsteps, as he was awarded 1st and Color Champion at the 2009 Michigan International Alpacafest. Comments from Wade Gease..."The length of his staple and his added fineness makes him this year's Color Champ."
