Snowmass Victorian Silk

Beige, 30339033, Full Peruvian

Outstanding Quechua daughter out of an Accoyo Victor daughter, her latest fleece is still at 20 microns. We saw her in the Snowmass sale several years ago with her lovely Matrix Rose daughter, and again the next year saw her daughter's fleece win in the fawn fleece class at CABA. That daughter is still in the Snowmass production herd and Silk's son sold as a working herdsire. When Silk came up for sale we purchased her from Stacy Miller who was closing out her huacayas to focus on her suris.

Silk does not have much of a production history as several of her cria have passed through no fault of her own. Knowing she can produce dark color we will to breed her for color whenever we can.

Just skirted Silk's 2015 fleece and it is unbelievably beautiful and a very long staple for her age. Although she easily produces color we did a mild line breed to Elite son and full brother to Rico Suave, Elite's Crescendo whose offspring have gotten great prices at auctions lately.

Dark Fawn, 35263432, Peruvian & Chilean

  Micron Count

This girl, named after her maternal granddam Rainbow Joy, is probably the densest colored alpaca we have ever produced without sacrificing fineness and character. I expect her to do well in the show ring next spring. Hats off to her dam Snowmass Victorian Silk whose three girls she has produced for us, Joy, Victorian Love, and Victorian Lace are all spectacular.
