Evelyn is a standout for her distinctive maroon color, dark brown with purple highlights and black points, and her lovely head. She is tall and elegant with good crimp on a long-stapled fiber. Her fleece is snapped up each spring by local hand-spinners because of its unusual color. Evelyn is a wonderful mother who wears herself out for weeks following her cria everywhere she goes and who produces ample milk of high quality. Her 2004 cria had an IgG of 2900!

Evelyn is gentle with an easy-going personality, easy to handle and affectionate. She carries the gene for patterned crias having produced a black and white male, a solid black female and a maroon and white male. Evelyn is currently bred to our award-winning young herdsire, Mile High Peruvian First Class for a Spring 2006 cria.
