Thanks for stopping by this sales page! SORRY WE ARE SOLD OUT of fiber /companion males at this time for 2019. We may have some females in the fall that we need to retire to forever pastures. Call to reserve when they come available. We know we will have one white male available to someone who already has alpacas in November. As with any discriminating breeding program we occasionally have male alpacas who are not quite Herdsire material for one reason or another. Each of these young males is an excellent choice for the fiber artist or someone looking for a pet/companion alpaca. All are healthy. One of our boys was so good natured he went on to be a working alpaca who visits nursing homes and children's schools, and another has been to a child's show and tell!
FIBER ARTISTS & HANDSPINNERS these males have wonderful fleece. A fiber male who is not overfed will maintain their fleece characteristics for many years.
We are happy to give advice and instruction if you have never had alpacas before. We are easy keepers-All that is required is at least a three sided shelter, fencing to keep predators out, good quality pasture or hay, yearly shearing and an occasional scratch behind the ear! Transportation to their new home is the responsibility of the new owner.
Selection and color varies. The fact that we easily place our fiber males is a testament to the quality of their fleece and pleasant temperments. These boys are very calm, sweet and well behaved, they would make great fiber/pet males. They are adorable and we do not let them go until they are well adjusted enough to go to their forever home. All are healthy with wonderful fiber. Occasionally one of these males have herdsire potential-we will sell them as companions with the option purchase them as herdsires with their ARI registration later if you decide to use them. We will honestly point out to you which ones are strictly pet quality as we believe in full disclosure.
