Lady Gertrude S. Woldbrook

Pattern, 824753, 1/2 Chilean, Other/Unknown

Gertrude is a solid female with outstanding off spring. She is true black with white on her face and a Tux down her chest. When bred to black males she has produced solid black but not this year, girl was white with a brown blanket with grey/white mix and black toes. When bred to gray has produced gray & black and she gave us a dark brown out of our medium fawn herd sire. She is easy going in nature and has had effortless births. If you are looking to breed for black and gray and want a female able to deliver both-then this is your girl. Gertie is bred to our True Black Lexington, looking for another super baby from this pairing. Her cria have high IgG's over 2000, vigorous growth, and benefit from her outstanding mothering skills. Gertie is a very nice, gentle girl to work with. Loves to eat carrots or apples from your hand. Gertie is an older girl, but she throws wonderful babies. Gertie has dense fleece but not as soft as her younger years, but her babies have a very soft handle

  Kennsington of Maine
    Medium Silver Grey, 819042, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Other/Unknown

Kennsington is a very handsome solid male by one of the premier gray herdsires in the U.S. - Peruvian Macusani. He was never shown. Kennsington is conformationally sound and strong in bone with a nice tipsy head, square body, and has a sweet gentle temperment that he passes on to his offspring. His fleece displays a nice frequency crimp, dense, very uniform and a very soft handle at 10 years old, not bad for an older herdsire. If you are interested in breeding for gray and black and would like the strong genetics of Macusani in your breeding program, Kennsington could be your man. Kennsington loves the girls and gets it done, usually the first time. Comment from our shearer, Kennsington has a dense fleece for his age, rare for a grey. Kenzy has thrown colors in dark brown, black and white/medium fawn and rose grey, dark silver grey girl, and this year a boy in dark fawn since he's been on the farm with very deep crimp. His kids are showing a lot of promise for the show ring. Co
