Light Rose Grey, 1009200

RoseMarie is a beautiful "pinkey" rose grey female. Her blanket is consistent in both color & crimp style, & her conformation & teeth are perfect. RoseMarie carries some of the best black/grey genetics with Loganberry, Fantasy's Gremlin, Petite Shenanigans & Zorro. Her fleece is dense, yet still holding a very fine micron. Her crimp style is high frequency, low amplitude .. giving that "tiny zipper" look in pink!

RoseMarie is a pretty alpaca and SWEET AS PIE! She is very well behaved and seems to love people. Breds easily and conceives on the first try. Nurses her crias well, plenty of milk and a VERY good mother. She slipped her 2011 pregnancy over the winter/spring... and so she is breeding to our MAPACA Color Champion, Crusader... a fabulous macho who has made champion offpsring.

RoseMarie had a C-section in 2010 giving us a beautiful dark brown female cria. I have been advised that this will not be a problem for her to have a normal delivery next time. I

  5Peruvian Socosani
Medium Silver Grey, 800665, Full Peruvian

The old boy is still capable of competing with the latest and greatest! Just this weekend, at the Futurity 2009, Socosani's son, Kodachrome placed 4th in the juvi rose grey male COMBINED group. Of course there were 2 males standing above him that did NOT have tuxedo's (Snowmass and Crescent Moon's animals)and looked totally brown from the outside, and I don't consider these type of boys actual "greys" and I would NEVER count on them to produce grey offspring when in reality they are roans! If Socosani can still produce offspring of this caliper after 15 years, I think he is a "hall of fame" alpaca who can demand a $3000 breeding fee! NO - he is not the crimp upgrader, not at all... he is your COLOR boy - the one who can give you a grey or rose grey with the dams fleece character while adding and maintaining fineness and staple length - don't forget about that FANTASTIC coverage too!

Included in your breeding fee: ultrasound confirmation of pregnancy, 60 days free board fo

Socosani's Desdemona  (Silver grey beauty)

Listed at $1500 by Kim Rassi &    of Brooklyn Heights, OH

Print Listing | Certificate | Histogram

Desdemona is a true Socosani beauty! She has absolutely no spots of any colors on her except the solid grey blanket and white tuxedo markings. She is very dense with long staple length and soft as silk. Her fleece shows defined character and outstanding frequency. Her conformation is excellent being a well put together alpaca with straight legs, perfect bite, large bones and correct proportions. Desdemona's dam gave us a full brother last year, he sold to Mooseridge alpacas as a junior herdsire. Socosani has produced many beautiful grey and black crias over his very long breeding span.

Price: $1500

never shown. I stopped showing my alpacas when the economy tanked 3 years ago. I am considering heading back to the showring soon, but I am a bit reserved as I hear the politics have not gone away, but actually seem to have gotten worse. Once I see that showing actually increases value and that AOBA can get some non-political judges in their lineup, I will be happy to resume going to shows. I have worked with ALSA for a bit now, and find them to be much more transparent and workable.
