| | Daisy is a nice female who has shown herself to be a good mom with plenty of milk. She does exhibit a bit of an "attitude" towards the end of her term. She breeds easily and usually takes on the first breeding. Daisy is a Hemingway granddaughter. Her fleece is crimpy, dense and nice. We are so happy with the cria she had from her breeding to our hersdire Bennie that we have repeated the breeding for a spring 2009 cria. And this time we got a pure while male. Daisy picked up some type of a bug and was under the weather for a few weeks. Because of this, we opted not to rebreed her until the fall of 2009. We didn't want to chance taxing her system with a developing cria when she was still nursing and not quite up to per. Because of her bug, her son's fleece suffered. We are still waiting to evaluate his fleece. | |

| | What can we say about Bennie? Bennie was born just days after we purchased his mother. He had a very rough beginning and pulled through it all thanks to the hard work of Katy Spears and Jeremy at Fairhope Alplacas where he was born. And of course the fact that he had an undefeatable urge to live. And are we thankful. After all the poking and prodding and bottle feeding and supplementing, Bennie still is a sweetheart. And the main man of Willow Glen Farm! Although he is a little on the small side, his conformation and fleece are great. His first cria is going to be a real "looker". And a female too! Bennie's second cria was born in June of 2009. He looks to be a smaller boy, just like his daddy. If he follows suit, he will stay small until he is over 18 months and then look out! He'll catch up quickly both in size and attitude! | |
