Lydia is a 1/2 Peruvian daughter of 5Peruvian Silverado, a legendary Peruvian macho who has produced numerous show-winning offspring. Lydia has great conformation and strong bone. Her fiber is super, super dense, with lots of crimp and beautiful luster. She is a wonderful foundation breeder, an easy birther & a great mom with lots of milk. She tends to watch over all the cria in the herd.
In June 2009 Lydia gave us yet another girl, an exquisite true-black beauty we have named Red Acres Samoa sired by My Peruvian Lorenzo. This girl is everything we had hoped for and just took 5th place at the North American Alpaca Show in a large class! Lydia gave birth to a white female in 2008 that we named Lydia's Windsong. Windsong is a well-grown girl with loads of shiny, white fiber with a long staple. In 2007 Lydia also birthed a female cria. RSP Pawlet has very dense, soft, crimpy dark brown fleece, and she too has a very long staple length.
When we acquired Peruvian Lorenzo at the 2003 Breeders Choice Auction, we knew that he would be the male to make an immediate impact on our colored breeding program. He is now producing incredibly typey, Championship winning offspring!
His daughter, AG Midnight Rose won Color Champion and 1st place Bred and Owned Dark Female at the '06 Coastal Classic. The following weekend, she took Reserve Color Champion and 2nd place in a class of 26 Bred & Owned yearling females at the Empire Extravaganza.
Lorenzo's son, AG Peruvian Alejandro won Black Reserve Color Champion under judge Amanda VandenBosch at the 2005 Empire Alpaca Extravaganza (50 black males entered!) and his daughter, Hannah won Brown Reserve Color Champion at the 2005 N.E. Coastal Classic judged by Kristin Buhrman.
Lorenzo's sire is 5Peruvian Black Ice, an outstanding black male retained by Phil Mizrahie, Pet Center, Inc. for his own private herd. He takes after his great sire in fleece density and exc
Samoa is just fabulous! She is everything we would have expected from the mating of our MA Lydia with My Peruvian Lorenzo. Gorgeous true black fleece, wonderful hand, beautiful crimp. Conformationally perfect with strong bone. Her genetics are outstanding with grandsires 5Peruvian Black Ice and 5Peruvian Silverado. Her grand dam 5Peruvian Lozania is the dam of Peruvian Logan, Peruvian Lenox, and Lethal Weapon, all of which have multiple blue ribbons and banners to their credit.
This black beauty took 1st place at the 2013 North American Alpaca Show and has placed in every show in which she was entered. We are extremely pleased with her.
Samoa's first cria was born in October 2014 sired by GMFA Spalding. Stella hit the ground running and hasn't stopped. She has a lovely true black fleece, extremely fine and bright, with tight crimp. Her energetic personality just can't be beat.
Samoa delivered a stunning male cria on 9/28/15 that we have named Astro. He is an adorable medium fawn out of 2 black parents! His fleece is very silky, has beautiful crimp with impressive brightness and long staple. He was to be part of our 2016 show string, but was sold when less than 6 months old. His fleece received 1st place at the 2016 New England Hands on Fleece Off show.
On 10/10/16 Samoa delivered her 2nd cria out of Nicodemus. Iris is a lovely true black female with white markings. She has a proud upright stature and beautiful fleece like her full brother Astro and will be part of our 2017 show string.
Samoa's price does not include her female cria at side. If you would like Samoa to be bred, we can include a breeding at a discounted breeding fee.
