Followill LaPoudre

Pattern, 826400

Followill Lapoudre is a wonderful dam with 8 healthy cria to her worth as a dam, and all but one were females. The latest March 2010 also a female. She is mother to Arapaho Caliente's Sundance who is 3 years old, large and very dense fiber with good staple length, much improved fiber over her mother. Lapoudre cria are significantly improved with a good sire. Lapoudre will be bred with one of our sires or come with a breeding of your choice at $1500 or less in our area. LaPoudre may also be come bred with Snowmass Snow Cloud. Lapoudre has had 7 female cria to her credit.

Lapoudre's histogram for 11 years of age is really quite good. Take a look.

    Medium Fawn, 20035181, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Other/Unknown

Cheveyo is well balanced and robust. His fleece is dense and buttery soft. It has great consistency as shown by spin fineness that is less than his micron count. His fleece is under 20 micron and has an above average curve of 49.3 deg/mm.

Cheveyo is the son of Christopher B and a Canadian dam. He will bring CANADIAN GENETICS to your herd.

Cheveyo started out his show career winning FIRST PLACE and RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION as a juvenile at the California Classic. To date he has 3-Reserve Color Champion Ribbons, 4-First place and a Second place.

Cheveyo will be standing stud at Arapaho Rose Alpacas in California from October to April and in Missouri at WeeWalk Alpacas from May to September.

If you want a sweet female as a pet or for her beautiful fiber, Harmony is priced to sell for that purpose. Don't think that her quality is not good, because she is a well bred female alpaca. Harmony is a proven dam, but milk production was not what it should have been. Her first cria is a wonderful offspring, but growth was less than expected given her milk production was below normal. For this reason, Harmony is priced very low and we would love for her to go to a good home. You could choose to breed her and she may as a proven dam have no problems with her next cria, but because we don't sell any animals with even the potential to have problems without identifying those issues and pricing our livestock commensurate with potential problems.

Harmony is easy to handle, halter trained and well nourished. Harmony would be wonderful around children or if your a spinner, her fiber is some of the most beautiful we have on the ranch. Her staple length and color would make for beautiful yarn.

In the Showing Harmony as a juvenile, the judges remarks were "When I looked at this girl, I couldn't wait get my hands in her fiber".
