Buffy Sainte-Marie has grown into a great mom with a lovely short muzzle, extreme density, great topknot and perfect conformation. Her disposition is exactly what we strive for at Rock Ridge, greeting us with the best alpaca smile every time! There is loads of color and royalty in her background, with a dam that is True Black from the Silversmith line, and her Sire Chipchiy's Apu is of Hemingway and Royal Fawn heritage.
Buffy has ribboned at the AFCNA 2007 Fleece Competition, her only show entry before being bred. She was bred first to Jupiter Rising, our fawn,ribbon-winning, proven herdsire of Timoteo and Augusto lineage. Her first cria, Acadia is DF and has Hemingway - Timoteo - Royal Fawn - Augusto - Silversmith genes!
She was then bred, to ADDW Peruvian DiMaggio, a strong white male with Kenamori Gold, Royal Fawn and Halifax genetics. (and a" favorite "of Wade Gease, who calls him a perfect phenotype!)
Their cria just born on 9/23/10 is a beautiful faw

Thank you to Grace Farm Alpacas in Florida, from which we were able to purchase this handsome, one of a kind male. MFI Peruvian Wellington represents the direction and goals of the North American alpaca industry. He was produced on this continent by selective breeding between the record breaking high selling alpaca, Accoyo Augusto, bred to a peruvian dam who exhibited excellence in both fleece and conformation. Peruvian Wellington, is believed to be the best offspring of Accoyo Augusto, This documented, domestic born herdsire truly represents another "step up the ladder". He is still one of the highest selling domestic born alpacas of all time. Wellington has become a household name because of the quality he is known to produce and the beauty and quality of his fleece. His offspring are absolutely amazing and are winning in show circuits all over the East coast and beyond. The brightness on his cria is just shocking. These are the some of the whitest cria we have on our farm.
This lovely proven huacaya, Cha Cha Muldowney is special. Like her Sire, MFI Peruvian Wellington, she is the brightest white we have had to date! Her Dam is the daughter of APU of Hemingway and Royal Fawn descent and her grandsire is Accoyo Augusto.
Ribboning at the American Fiber Rally, Wini Labraque commented on ChaCha's "great uniformity of micron".SHe has an amazing 5" staple length!
Her sire is Wellington, often said to be Accoyo Augusto's best cria!! A Wellington girl has recently taken a Color Championship at The Big E!
Her offspring, Altair has the same outstanding fleece - bundled, crimped fine and long staple length.
