Snowmass Blueberry Mist

Dark Silver Grey, 1397437, Full Peruvian

Blueberry Mist, an animal we purchased from Snowmass Alpacas at the 2009 Futurity, is an exceptional grey female. Pregnant to Snowmass Matrix for a February, 2010 cria, she exhibits extremely dense, extremely fine, uniform grey fiber. Her 2008 grey daughter from Matrix has been included in the Snowmass foundation herd.

Blueberry's first cria on our farm is a black female, Emily. She is quite nice at this point. She will be showing in the spring of 2012. We will see what a Marathon bay black daughter can do.

  Accoyo America Marathon
    Medium Fawn, 30669864, Full Peruvian

EIGHT TIME CHAMPION--all in halter in full fleece! Marathon has ended his show career on the top as one of the best colored full Accoyos in this country. He exhibits incredible fleece with high amplitude, well-bundled, long staple length fiber.

Marathon truly has fiber-to-be-seen...and felt. His extremely bright, soft fleece has an outstanding hand that has impressed people across the nation! To describe his fleece as "new generation" or "elite" is definitely in keeping with its qualities.

Marathon has proven himself to be a great breeding male. As his cria start to arrive and be shown (with good success), we are amazed at the variety of colors he is producing from a wide range in maternal colors.

Marathon's variety of colors includes true black and grey. We now have three grey cria, including a grey male (full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo)born 3/21/2010 (from a Nic Nac daughter), a grey female born 5/16/2010 (from a Patagonia Kaspa daughter), and a rose grey female bor

****News Flash - Emily's older sister just sold at the Snowmass Auction 2012 for $28,000. Someone sees the good genes that this line carries!

Emily was named by Lands' End designers when they visited our farm this last summer. They found Emily quite camera ready and of course just adorable. Lands' End was interested in the possibilities of using alpaca fleece in their 2012 winter collection and we were honored to be one of the farms that they chose to investigate.

Emily has wonderful genetics thanks to her lovely dark grey mom, purchased from Snowmass at the Futurity auction. She is fine like her mom with a wonderful handle. Her fleece is crimpy, and the sheen is quite outstanding. Her 8 time champion father, Marathon, also is apparent with the fleece character and outstanding brightness. She also has that wonderful head and great coverage thanks to her sire.

Emily is a sweetheart to work with and has the genetic pool to produce black and grey. She would be a great addition to any herd. She sells with a breeding to Tsunami. That should really be a great chance for grey or black.
