Grace is a proven female and quite the easy, unassisted birther. She has given birth to three beautiful cria so far; two of which are silver grey and one true black (as you can see by the photos to the right). One of her sons is our very own
"Siggy' is a 1/2 Accoyo, 3/4 Peruvian, Light Silver Grey son of legendary PPPeruvian Royal Fawn and dam with 4 generations of grey behind her. Out of 290+ cria from Royal Fawn, Siggy is the only silver grey male offspring.
Siggy has outstanding fleece characterized by excellent fineness, density, and crimp. His uniform grey color extends throughout his blanket. Winning the 2006 AOBA National Fleece Show grey Color Championship attests to the fleece quality.
His pleasing conformation is highlighted by good balance, an outstanding head and great coverage. The skin biopsy (as per Dr. Evans) showed 63 follicles/sq. mm and SP ratio of 13.1.
His first cria for us (third overall) arrived on 10/27/2008, a grey female from our Sara Bella, a bay black alpaca who has produced a medium fawn female from McGwire and a grey female from Orlando Cloud in her first two pregnancies. The Siggy cria has extremely fine fiber with exceptional brightness and uniform color--only spots a
Kachina is a beautifully bright fleeced girl, with softness you wouldn't believe. Her confirmation is extremely good; her bite is right-on. To date, she is probably the most beautiful grey alpaca we have had born as a result of our breeding program.
Kachina's first breeding was to our boy, Moose Creek's Chief Grey Thunder, and we had a bouncing baby girl, Moose Creek's Kachina's Hopi - beautiful!
She has gone on to give us beautiful babies - Moose Creek's Brutus' Pocahontas, and Moose Creek's Little Big Man.
