Opal is a very sweet true black alpaca. She is a solid older female who has produced outstanding offspring. Her 2006 female cria, Precious Black Gold, is a gorgeous girl with outstanding fiber out of Christopher-B full Peruvian Color Champion & Get of Sire herdsire and producer of elite fleeces! Opal's daughter, Precious Black Gold took 1st place at the SEPA Show in Reading PA at 6 months old. Opal's cria have high IgGs (2000+), vigorous growth, and benefit from her outstanding mothering skills. As Cameron Holt would say, if you have a girl that give's you incredible babies, never sale them. Opal is an older girl, but her mircon is very low, very soft handle to her fleece and she passes it on to her off spring. We have Opals daughter's to carry on and they are truly passing the genes on.
WOW! Kigo has done it again, another 1st place. Snowmass Legacy Gold's Mlikigo has developed into a wonderfully fleeced male that has impressed the judges in the show ring. Six shows and six judges - all placing him in the top 2 of his class and twice winning a banner in the always tough brown classes!
Kigo is a very friendly and loving guy. Exceptionally easy to handle, his disposition cannot be beat.
He has very fine soft fleece and a lot of it. He has a beautiful dark brown color and has fleece that you want to sink into. A beautiful alpaca head and handsome top knot finish off his classic "look". Drambuie, Kigo's grandsire was the foundation herdsire for Snowmass Alpacas. He acquired a collection of blue and champion ribbons and in the show circuit Drambuie became a National Champion. Very few outside breedings were offered and now Drambuie resides in Australia. He has the upright stature we expect of a future herdsire and his fleece is wonderful to the touch.
Jade is the total package: beautiful confirmation, density, defined crimp style, fineness, strong bone and a sweet temper. Her Dad is throwing offspring under 20 micron. Jade has a 19.3 micron, not a side sample, just pulled from blanket. This year she is finer than last year when the sample was taken. She is a sweetheart to work with, very gentle girl. This is one girl I would hate to give up, but this is a business. She is much finer than last year, so soft to the touch. Comes with a breeding to Matrix to the Max aka Hammie or Alleghenies Earle - Dorian son-Beethoven grandson Exposed on 9/26/19 to Matrix to the Max
