When we began Storybook Alpacas we were told to start with the best. Carmeltina, a full Peruvian, Pendragon of Peru daughter, one of our first animals, came to us with multiple championships and bred to Snowmass Golden Seal. She is magnificent with beautiful fleece and an extraordinary elegance we have not seen in any other animal, all complemented by her gentle personality. Soft, dense, consistent fleece from Carmeltina has supplied us with a beautiful supply of yarn showing off her Royal Fawn heritage. Attesting to her value are her siblings who have also done well in the show ring.
Carmeltina has gone on to prove herself with show stopping crias, textbook births and has been the perfect vision of motherhood. Her attentiveness to her crias has been amazing and her milk supply - well our vet called her a dairy cow!
Carmeltina has produced cria to date, 2 females and 2 males. Her oldest daughter, Snugglers' Peruvian Golden Nugget, has collected several fleece placings w<

Congratulations to his lovely daughter One Fine Day Clarisse who won fawn female color champion and then the coveted Judges Choice Award at the Indiana Invitational Show!!!!!
Charles won his FIFTH Get of Sire Blue ribbon at the 2009 Best of the Midwest Alpaca Show! Each of his wins has been in front of a different pair of judges and has used different offspring.
The Best of the Midwest Show saw 3 of his offspring win color banners. In her first show at just over 6 months of age, his Bay Black daughter Miss Clementine Atlas, won the blue ribbon in a large class, and then went on to win the Black Female Color Championship. Coffee Pot Indiana Jones and Coffee Pot Idelava both took the blue and went on to win the Reserve Champion Banner in both male and female brown.
His offspring had their first show year in 2008:
True Black Lady Tiffany Color Champion Bay Black son Mapquest Color Champion Fawn daughter Irreplaceable 3 time Color Champion Medium
Breed for more Yarn!!! This boy is fiber packed. You'll love him! Ret has been standing as if he owned the show ring since his feet hit the ground. At Alpacafest 2009, Storybooks P Atlass Retribution was declared the clear winner of his class by judge Jude Anderson. At Alpacafest 2010 judge Tim Lavan stated that while it was hard to place those lower in the class, the first and second place were much easier giving Retribution the blue. Retribution went on to follow his multiple-champion sisters lead and paving the way for his siblings, taking not only Champion, but blue in fleece as well. Hes on his way to earning his name, inspired by his sire, the multiple-champion and get of sire winner Charles P Atlas. Just for consistency, Ret took 1st in halter for the 3rd year in a row - under different judges - and won his 2nd running blue in fleece at 2011 Alpacafest along with Produce of Dam for his mom, Carmeltina with his grey brother P Manifestation.
Retribution has awesome staple length, softness and an incredible uniformity that can be seen in his siblings as well as the incredibly soft yarn he produces. The mill LOVES to process his long, smooth fiber. Some of his fiber stats include top 5% in MSL and top 10% in %F.30. His coverage is unbelievable with his crimp and coverage following all the way down to his belly! If thats not enough, he has a beautiful head and the cute factor as well. Why feed 2 when you can get as much fiber off one alpaca?
Rets sister, Storybooks Peruvian Atlass Maia, left only one AOBA show without a Champion or blue placing and at that one show she was first of the dark animals in the class. His grey brother, Storybooks P Manifestation, holds 8 banners including a reserve he took at age 5.
Call now to get in on these award-winning genetics and add that evasive density to your herd. Why feed 2 when you can get as much fiber off one alpaca? This boy can now be yours! Come check out his shiny, fiber-packed son before he goes to his new home and see why Ret will set your herd apart. Oops! Too late. Raptor was snatched up at first sight! Take Ret home or book a breeding from Storybook Alpacas, where Happily Ever Afters Begin!
