Lady Kenadee is a beautiful but large and dominant female with a wavy top knot and curly cheeks. She loves to be in control of all things in the barn and pasture.
She was bred to Lightning (white) from Alpacas 4U2C in Blairsville, GA. Since light is dominant over dark colors for alpacas, this cria was supposed to be white like his other crias. Her first cria, Lady Deelight, was born on May 15, 2012 but surprised us by being a light brown instead of white!! Thus Kenadee has the ability to produce color when bred to a white. She is also an excellent mom with lots of milk for her cria.
Since her cria was born she has been a much sweeter and more cooperative alpaca. She will now let us rub her head and neck plus allow us to give shots and trim her nails more easily. She will even check our hands and pockets for treats!!
UPDATE: Her second cria is here!! On Wed., September 25, 2013 a curly brown female was born on a rainy day in Georgia. Her name is Jerae's Autumn Joy a
Jamocha is a nice compact male with long staple length, nice crimp, and very soft, dense fleece. He has a very gentle nature and is very approachable. Yarn made from his fleece is soft and luxurious.
He is the son of multiple blue ribbon winning Peruvian Black Legacy. Jamocha earned his own 4th place ribbon in halter at the 2009 Royal Alpaca Challenge in Conyers, GA when he was only 6 months. Furthermore, in November of 2011, he received a 3rd place ribbon in halter at the Royal Alpaca Challenge.
Jamocha has begun his breeding career and his first cria (Misty) was born in April of 2013. He was bred to our sweet Noelle whose fleece is a beautiful beige color. Noelle's dad is the multiple blue ribbon winning Julius Jax who fleece is also beige.
Jamocha's second cria was born on September 25, 2013. Her name is Jerae's Autumn Joy. Her fleece is a soft, curly medium brown color like her mom, Lady Kenadee.
Jamocha's third cria was born on October 8, 2013. His na
Our second cria for 2013 and the fifth born on our farm arrived in autumn of 2013. Jerae's Autumn Joy weighed 15 lbs 15 oz with soft, curly, crimpy, medium brown fleece and very good conformation. She is very independent but also loves to stay near her mom, Lady Kenadee. Her dad is Alpaca Tierra's Jamocha (one of our herdsires) who is also the sire to Joy's sister, Misty , and her brother, Toby. So far she is a real JOY to be around.
UPDATE: Joy is still sweet and fun to be around. She will allow us to gently hold her while putting on and taking off her halter. Joy also loves to come running when she sees us headed for the pasture hoping to get some treats!! She loves to check our pockets for treats and eat them from our hands. She can hold her own with the adult females to get her share of hay, grass, or treats!! She also has a very cute face and will allow some gentle holding and petting. She is very sweet when you hug and kiss her. She will just rest her head on your chest and look at you with her big beautiful eyes as you talk to her.
At 3 years old, Joy was bred to Accoyo America Mahatma who is a multiple Blue Ribbon winner!! Their cria was to be due in the fall of 2017. However, this union did not produce a cria.
Joy is now 5 years...still sweet and huggable!!
Awards Received Joy attended her first halter show, Southern Select, in March 2015. She did not receive a ribbon, however, she was in a large class with some stiff competition.
