Wow would be how we need to start the description of our Quatrain. He combines the undeniable impact genetics of multiple Herdsire of the Year winner Jeremiah ( Jericho, Dakotia, Bueno, Inca's Ransom) with the gorgeous silver gray of his dam Quetzal and her full Bolivian black import parents.

Sold and winning ribbons for Black River Criations - thank you Detamores!

Qontessa is the result of the second match between Awena and Quatrain. Awena is a full Peruvian daughter of Magical's Donovan and a granddaughter of Accoyo Express. Quatrain is our much-celebrated, many-time-proven herdsire, out of Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah, with Jericho, Inca's Ransom, Dakotia, and some exquisite Bolivian genetics including Bolivian Vesuvius.

Qontessa's full brother, Quantum Leap is a champion and will stand stud at Tanner Z Farm in NY. We expect Qontessa to follow in her brother's footsteps as she enters the showring later this spring.

Her fleece sparkles when parted. We know that bright fleeces are a hallmark of Quatrain offspring but suspect that while she is color-classed as a fawn (and has many shades of lighter colors mixed in her fleece), there are light silver gray fibers that are a part of that mix. We consider these fawns "Stealth Gray" and breed them to our gray and gray heritage males with some considerable success.

We have some exciting males to choose from for her maiden breeding and will help you make a selection. We are very tempted to try for rose gray by breeding her to our Cactus Jack...........
