Rose has delivered a gorgeous light fawn girl from her PHAR Online breeding. Her name is "Kelola"
Rose is a compelling alpaca - at a glance she is a beautiful medium fawn animal - but once she notices you, she comes right over to say hello and that's when the exclamations begin! Rose has the most unique, beautiful color of fleece on her face. Grayish, taupeish fawn fades into the deep butterscotch color that prevails in her coverage. It's almost indescribable... You'll just have to view the pictures.
Rose has the most even, complete coverage you could ask for. Her fleece is incredible; dense and amazingly soft with uniform crimp throughout. During her show career, Rose took Color Champion at the All American Futurity against all the females *and* males in her class and has gone on to produce award winning offspring of her own.
Her son M'Likigo has won 2 Reserve Championships in Dark Brown classes (Empire & Vermont) Her daughter Kelola generates "Wow!" when y
Snowmass Legacy Gold
Medium Fawn, 807333, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
Legacy Gold remains the prototype Herdsire in our eyes. Even better is the fact that he is capable of replicating himself with relative ease. He has won major awards at every level and at every stage of his development including back to back Breed and Color Championships at the 1999 & 2000 Futurities in Oklahoma City, the only alpaca to have ever done that. His cria have likewise excelled on the show circuit winning throughout the color spectrum. Unlike most other Herdsires at Cas-Cad-Nac, Legacy Gold will be bred outside a maximum of 10 times (most of our guys we breed out only 5 times/year and then strictly to existing clients) in 2006: 6 of those breeding will be offered to existing clients of CCNF and/or Tripping Gnome Farm at a rate of $7,500/service, the remaining 4 will be offered to the alpaca community at large at a rate of $10,000/service. As of March 27, 2006 we already commitments for 6 of LGs outside breedings including three of the four available to the public at large.
Micron Count 2007: 17 SD 3.4 CV 20 >.9% 2012: 21.2 SD 4.7 CV 22 > 3.7 at 7 years of age
We can't say enough about this boy, Kigo has done wonders for our herd. Don't miss out on a chance to own a great herd sire. We have to move on to new bloodlines. WOW! Kigo has done it again. His offspring have microns of 17.1 to 19.2, ages range from 2-3 years. Nine tested and 7 under 19.2. Kigo's micron is 21.2 at age 7. Snowmass Legacy Gold's Mlikigo has developed into a wonderfully fleeced male that has impressed the judges in the show ring. Six shows and six judges - all placing him in the top 2 of his class and twice winning a banner in the always tough brown classes! Beethoven was taking Color and Kigo Res. Color. in the same classes.
Kigo is a very friendly and loving guy. who has more than proven himself and produced better quality than we could have hoped for. Not only has he maintained his fineness into his eleventh year, but he has improved upon the quality of almost every female he has been bred with.
He has very fine soft fleece and a lot of it. He has a beautiful dark brown color and has fleece that you want to sink into. A beautiful alpaca head and handsome top knot finish off his classic "look". Drambuie, Kigo's grandsire was the foundation herdsire for Snowmass Alpacas. He acquired a collection of blue and champion ribbons and in the show circuit Drambuie became a National Champion. Very few outside breedings were offered and now Drambuie resides in Australia. He has the upright stature we expect of a future herdsire and his fleece is wonderful to the touch.
Even in the bigger shows - North American - Kigo and the eventual reserve champion battled for what seemed like an hour as the judge deliberated and finally said "I wish I had 2 banners - they both deserve it".
What a show at MAPACA! Kigo was pulled from the line-up before the judge(Jude Anderson) even looked at all the males in the class. Her comment: Everyone would have to come up to his standard. He was that good: Exquisite fleece on this animal.
PAOBA Show: Best fleece I've seen all day, judges comment. Daughter took a Res. Champion at Este Park
