This strikingly handsome male has a very regal bearing, combined with an extremely gentle temperament. He will stand to be haltered on command, and is very easy to work with.
MidKnight's outstanding lineage includes Snowmass Nova and Peruvian Casanova, Black Knight, Peruvian Bueno, Peruvian Drambuie, PPeruvian Felix and Outback Gold. That's a very solid background!
MidKnight is a true black with many true black, bay black and grey ancestors. Although he has a white face, all of his white ancestors are 3-4 generations removed.
MidKnight's first cria was born on September 25, 2010, which also happens to be MidKnight's own birth date. The little male is a pretty silver grey. He has MidKnight's correct posture and very perfect conformation. He is sure to be a ribbon winner !
MidKnight's second cria was born August 24, 2011. She is a beautiful, dark brown female, copying MidKnight's perfect conformation. Miss Kitty Russell has the softest fleece we ha

Our true black Anjel takes the first part of her name from her sire, our Spanish Peaks Manhattan MidKnight. Her true black color comes from both sire and dam. Her most correct conformation comes from her sire, MidKnight. But, her spunky attitude certainly comes from her mother, Hanna.
This elegant female is definitely an unusual gal. She actually seems to prefer to be hand-fed. She ignores her food until some one comes to hold her bowl and feed her. What a princess !!!! We can't complain about her, though, because she leads well and allows us to handle her without becoming nervous. She is polite and well-mannered towards us, but will stand her ground against any of the older females at the hay feeder.
One point is certain, however --- her true black fleece makes soft, shiny black yarn -- a color that seems to sell very well for us.
Anjel has had one very gentle, loveable male cria in Fall 2016, and is ready to become a mother again. She is bred to our new, true black herdsire, PJA Manchester's BAXTER BLACK for a May 2019 cria.
