CRIA-ting WINNERS!

PH Camelot's Challenger, our dark brown male with black points, won his first two Blue Ribbons and a Color Championship at eight months of age and took his third Blue Ribbon at the 2004 North American Alpaca Show as the youngest yearling in a class of 14. He then went on to take a 2nd Place at the highly competitive 2004 All American Alpaca Futurity, a 2nd Place in composite at the 2004 AOBA Nationals and another Blue Ribbon at the 2004 Empire Extravaganza. And, he earned his fifth Blue Ribbon at the 2005 North American Alpaca Show and his sixth under Dr. Julio Sumar at the 2005 MaPaca Jubilee, the world's largest show with 1,600 halter entries.

He has solid bone and crimpy fine dense fleece with incredible coverage from his nose to his toes. His one year staple length at the 2004 shearing measured almost seven inches and we sheared over 10 pounds of fleece off him in 2005! All these qualities are hard to find in a dark animal. Challenger's sire, 5P Camelot, was the importer's choice to keep for his own breeding program. This impressive male was described by Judges Safley and VandenBosch as "the complete package with a very bright future ahead of him". We agree and he's risen to the challenge by putting on the ground some incredible, blue ribbon offspring!

Challenger is co-owned with and stands stud at Moonlit Alpacas in Cornwall, VT.
