Lanaya is another great female sired by Ascott, her fleece has a long staple, with high defined crimp style. She's carrying some of the best genetics in Canada. Lanaya will make an excellent production female. We have bred her to Mecharios for a 2015 cria. We felt this would be an excellent pairing.
We looked long and hard before choosing Mecharios, to bring new Genetics into the Canadian pool. We were focusing on 3 things: Proven Fineness, Accoyo fineline ( Yupanqui & Timoteo )and colour. This all had to be on a correct frame & bite with an exceptional head. Mecharios fit all these requirements. We would of liked to have got him for the 2013 breeding season, but had to do a second Quarentine due to incorrect testing methods being performed by a US vet ( be careful! ). He is now at our farm and will be available for 2014 Breedings. The added bonus is Mecharios has a very calm, easy going personality. He is 7/8 Accoyo.

Mecharios first cria are due in the spring of 2015. Buy one of the females bred to him and be one of the first to own one of his progeny.
Velvet Touch is a good representation of what years of selective breeding can accomplish. On her Canadian dams side there are an abundance of notable Alpacas that have done a lot for the industry, such as Jolimont 2 Peruvian Alpamayo, Jolimont 2 Peruvian Ivano, Victor's Vaccoyo and our super Stud MMR Ascott. On her sire's Side there's Accoyo Marksman, Hemingway, Accoyo Albus, Royal Fawn,PPPeruvian Yupanqui and PPeruvian Timoteo. She has a very fine, bright fleece with extreme expression of character throughout. Conformationaly correct, and exact bite. Maturing nicely, very long staple length, beautiful phenotype.
She has produced an absolutely stunning female cria in 2018. Velvet Touch aborted her cria mid winter, and will be rebred to Foundation spring of 2019.
Awards Received We will probably not show Velvet Touch as she would most likely not place in the top of the white class, competition is extremely tough, and the North American Judging does not seem to take staple length/Shear weight into consideration. which is a shame. She is a better fit for the Australian / European Show circut.
