Black and Silver Giada is a gorgeous 4th generation black experienced female with champion genetics - Black Magic, and 5Peruvian Silverado, and produces outstanding ribbon winning quality offspring.

Giada comes from an impressive line. Her sire is Sunburst Black Velvet, son of the industry leading black sire, Peruvian Black Magic, multiple ribbon and championship winner. Giada's dam is Sunburst Silver's Leah, daughter of 5Peruvian Silverado, also a multiple ribbon and champion.

Giada's fleece is as black as night with a low frequency crimp structure. Her fleece is best for yarns for socks, rugs, and weaving.

Conformation-wise Giada is an above average sized female (a little on the tall side) but is average in weight. She is proportionate and has average bone size, a square stance and strong, regal presence, especially when you are looking at her.

Giada has a relaxed personality. She is a good herdmate and enjoys raising her crias. She gets along well with humans and alpacas and is not aggressive toward other females. She halters easily and is a pleasure to handle and work with.

Being a nurturing mother is one of Giada's best attributes. She is an easy breeder, typically taking on the first breeding, and carries healthy cria that are delivered with no assistance. She has plenty of colostrum and milk. She is attentive and protective of her crias, but lets humans handle them. Her crias average 15-17 pounds and are up and nursing within the first 30 minutes. Giada's offspring tend to carry the fleece characteristics and density of their sire. When bred to a high quality herdsire, Giada's crias have been outstanding show quality, ribbon winning progeny. Giada's crias have not only gone on to win show ribbons but 2 are standing studs.
If you are looking for an easy to maintain, solid foundation female, with great mothering instincts, 4th generation solid dark color, and a sweet personality, Giada is the girl to add to your breeding program.
