Nic's NJ is a handsome light fawn herdsire that is ready to begin his breeding career. He has outstanding genetics, rich golden fleece, and is very sociable and easy to handle.
NJ's sire is Nic @ Night- Nic took a ribbon in every show he was entered in, including: Best of US, Buckeye, Huron Spring, Michigan International and AlpacaFest. His fleeced earned top score out of 34 light fleeces at Alpaca Nationals. The National Judge commented:"Simply Yummy!" Nic carries a dense fleece, with a high lustre and an unmatched comfort feel. Nic passes all his fleece characteristics onto his offspring (high heritability rating) and Nic's NJ has inherited the best qualities from his sire and is sure to pass along the same. On his Sire's side he also brings the genetics of Multi Color Champion LB Peruvian Castano Bay- 10x ribbon winner, with 6 offspring with Color/Color Reserve ribbons, the industry standard for black, Black Magic along with MacIntosh (True Black out of Zorro).
NJ's dam is Miss Libby Rose, a beautiful female that carries the outstanding fleece characteristics of her sire SSF Peruvian Pablo 10x Color Champion (dense without compromising fineness). Libby's fleece is fine and has a high comfort factor. On Libby's side, you will also find Accoyo Maverick and his sire, the industry standard setting Royal Fawn and the rare full Bolivian Silver Gray, Legacy of Bolivia.
NJ's fleece has a rich, golden color, with a high luster that makes a very shiny yarn. His fleece has a soft handle with high comfort level, high frequency crimp from skin to the tip of the fleece. The yarn made from his fleece is a next to skin yarn, with a fantastic feel.
NJ also has great conformation with a nice square frame, is an average size male, with nice solid bone structure and square, balanced stance. NJ has a strong presence and a curious personality. He is not aggressive; he is very social with both alpacas and humans, and is good on a halter and leads easily.
NJ's great genetics, high quality fleece, will truly be an asset to any breeding program adding density, crimp, color (possible blacks and silver greys), and luster to future cria.
