Sunnyhill's Goldyfawn

Medium Fawn, 31653336, --Mixed Heritages--

  Snowmass Conopa XXX
    Dark Fawn, 30339231, Full Peruvian

"Snowmass Conopa is named after Dr. Jane Wheeler and her husband Dr Raul Rosadio's non profit organization "CONOPA" which is dedicated to the conservation and protection of the wild vicuna and alpaca. He is a testament to the advanced possibilties inherent in Huacaya alpacas" quoted by Snowmass Alpacas. When we first put our hands on Conopa we could not believe his density, as we examined him closer we also found that he is fine and carries a consistent crimp style, he is simply the most stunning alpaca that we have ever seen. Conopa is probably the best purchase we ever made, he has added both quality and amazing personalities to our breeding program, we absolutely love this male.

GOLD, we are thrilled with this young male, if you have been to a show in Canada in the last couple of years you would have heard of Gold, he is making quite a name for himself. His body is still growing but his fleece is amazing, dense, fine and full of consistent character. There is more to this fellow, he is identical to his sire, Snowmass Conopa XXX, including his calm gentle demeanor, yet he is dominant in his pen, so many positive attributes for any herd.
Conopa is an amazing male, we had him biopsied at 7 years old by Dr Norm Evans, this is what he wrote, his 15x scan showed very symmetrical fibre clusters that are very uniform in size. His true density was 77 follicles SQ MM of skin and 25 fibre clusters showed an average S/P of 13.7 to 1 with triad fibre clusters present which is always correlated to extreme density. 100 secondary fibres averaged 21.3 microns and 50 primary fibres average only 26.8 microns for a variation of only 5.5 microns. To sum Dr Evans said Conopa’s fibre stats place him in the top 1% of huacaya males that he has tested, Conopa is a “WOW” male that is the future of the fibre industry based on his awesome density and fineness of fibre.
Don’t forget his dam Sunnyhill’s Goldyfawn, a Lionel x Alpamayo cross, the way we equate this is fibre quality in colour!! Goldyfawn adds brightness, fibre length and colour, Conopa adds density, fineness, curve, brightness and charisma, put this all together and you have yourself one heck of an alpaca and his name is SUNNYHILL’S CONOPA’S GOLD.
