LSH Silka

Medium Silver Grey, 1370126, 3/4 Chilean, 1/4 Peruvian

Silka is the matriarch of our herd and the Dam of our very first cria. She is a classic silver grey; has a consistently fine and soft fleece, and great confirmation. Silka’s first cria is a beautiful medium rose grey girl. We were so pleased with that outcome, we bred her to LRA Silver Thunder again and this time she gave us a beautiful medium rose grey boy, Moose Creek’s Chief Grey Thunder.

She is a great mother to her little ones, a very easy-birther, and has milk to spare. That explains why Thunder Cloud and Chief Grey Thunder are growing like weeds.

Silka has great bloodlines in C4 Merrill, Peruvian White Out, SA Silverado and ,5Peruvian Royal Inca Legend. If you are looking for deep grey roots, both her Dam and her Sire are grey beauties, with grey going back to importation.

Fall Special! All breedings booked for fall of 2009 are priced at only $1000. That's $500 off his regular price of $1500. If you schedule two or more breedings for this fall to any combination of my herdsires, the second, third, ect. are only $750. Drive by breedings are $750 for the first one and $500 for the second or more. Call now to schedule your breedings.

Silver Thunder has a very strong grey lineage. Out of 14 ancestors listing color on his registration certificate, 10 of them are grey, 3 are black and only one is dark brown. And I haven't had many surprises out of him when breeding for grey. So far, Thunder has thrown almost 100% grey out of grey dams with only one exception (black) and most of them have been females. When bred to other colors he almost always throws the dam's color. He adds that thick leg coverage and the full fleecy head to his crias, as well as soft, crimpy, dense fiber.

Thunder's conformation is superb and he has outstanding presence

Moose Creek’s Chief Grey Thunder, wow! At first glance he appears rose grey, but look deep in that long fleece and you will see a beautiful, crimpy, light silver grey. Chief has a perfect bite, great confirmation, long staple length and what a beautiful color. We could not have asked for much better than that!

Chief has begun his breeding career and, so far, has produced two out of two females, both beautiful! One bay black female and one dark silver female.
