Dark Rose Grey, 35173397, 1/4 Bolivian, 3/4 Peruvian
Cracklin Rosie is sweet as can be! Her FULL BROTHER is Kodachrome (sold to Alpacas of Senset Fields in PA) our #1 grey male on the farm! Rosie is ALOT like Kodachrome except her color is MUCH DARKER. You can see her maroon cria tips showing in the pictures, but I promise you this, when you part her fleece you will be WOW'd by the CRIMP AMPLITUDE and COLOR!! One of my densest greys on the farm and that is saying ALOT as I have some beautifully fleeced greys! Her rose grey fleece is VERY soft, like both sire and dam, her coverage is complete. She is not as heavy in the bone as her full brother, but she is certainly not lacking in bone either. Why on earth would anyone sell such a beauty!
Cracklin Rosie has been re-bred to Rockford's Cashmere for a repeat performance of her 2015 appy cria.Cracklin Rosie is looking plump and round as we come into spring, and she still has that same old "Socosani temperment" about her... sweet as can be... easy to handle and never spits... just a
Our most recent big surprise came on Monday afternoon, 3-13-07, as I was doing an interview with our local Cleveland TV Channel about the LOL feed trial getting under way in the Cleveland Courthouse! Low and behold, during the interview, and no more than 15 feet away from the camera, there was Huricana starting to give birth to a little black nose... white, brown and black fibered... MALE! The news crew was a bit shocked at what just happened, then as I dried my little rose grey (so I thought), I looked up at Ginger and she decided to start giving birth too! Out came the SECOND rose grey cria of the day - FEMALE!! and needless to say I had no more time for the LOL issue, I had to get on to cria care on a chilly, cloudy day! Look at our little Cashmere... he is the crimpiest, SOFTEST, cutest little thing! I don't know quite what to make of his markings and color at this time, so I will have to keep updating his information. One thing I do know, is that he is big and strong! Friendly
Brighton is the cream of the crop! Exactly what I expected out of Cashmere and Cracklin Rosie! She is a sister to Harley Quinn! Gorgeous phenotype, and outstanding fiber. I don't have to say much more about this one. I want to get her bred and proven. She was exposed to a breakout in 2019, so I am waiting to see if she appears pregnant after shearing before I take further actions.
