Andina 155

Medium Fawn, 184331, Full Chilean

Andina is one of our foundation females, an excellent mother and dependable producer. She has had four crias since we have owned her, all in varying colors: medium brown, beige, light brown, and bay black. Andina is an excellent milker with a docile, easy-going personality. Her lustrous fleece has a typical vicuna pattern, with lighter shades of fawn on her belly and legs in contrast to the deep rich golden color of her blanket. The golden highlights in her fleece have made her a favorite of hand spinners. She shears an amazing amount of fleece for a mature lady.
Andina has just given us her fourth cria, a gorgeous bay black boy named Federico, out of Accoyo herdsire, SHRA Calypsa. Federico already appears to have a great future in the show ring.

  SHRA Calypsa
    Light Fawn, 819705, Full Peruvian

A full Accoyo son of Felix and a grandson of Caligula on his dam's side, Calypsa possesses a regal bearing and perfect conformation. With his commanding presence, it is no surprise that Calypsa won a first place blue ribbon as a yearling at the 2001 AOBA Nationals. His lustrous, champagne-colored fleece is extremely fine and dense. His AFD at 4 years of age was a low 22.5 microns. This year he sheared an amazing 11 pounds of fleece! He continues to win blue ribbons for his fleece at the national conferences.

He has 25 outstanding crias on the ground showing a variety of colors including white, beige, fawn, light brown, true black, rose gray, and silver gray. Most recently,he has produced a handsome light brown boy named Harrison and a lovely little rose gray girl. Calypsa is one of those rare Accoyos who lets the color of the dam pass through while passing along his density and fineness to his crias.

At the 2005 East Meets West Auction, Calypsa's daughter, Brookh
