Black as Midnight, sired by the famous Patagonia herdsire, Caballero Andante, is one of our foundation herd. She has created many wonderful crias; three are pictured here. She is a true black who produces black when bred to black or gray or black when bred to gray. She is a fantastic mother, protective and dutiful. Her fleece measured at 23 microns 18 months. She is a stunning animal with great presense and stature, the alpha female of our herd, and the keystone of our breeding program. She has thrown two silver gray crias, Brittany & Chilton, who are both superlative animals and four true black females, Ella, Florence, Haley, and Inkberry. All have extremely fine fleeces and exhibit perfect conformation.
Atticus is a true black herdsire out of Peruvian Macusani. In some of the biggest shows in the country, Atticus has ribboned in very large classes. Atticus' fleece has a very soft hand especially for a black. He like many of his siblings is a real charmer. We not only breed for confirmation and great fleece characteristics, but also for personality and Atticus has both.
Here is a perfect choice if you are looking for a solid black production female. She has excellent conformation and is covered from head to toe with fine black fleece that is a favorite with hand spinners. Solid black, with no hint of tipping, she is a very personable lady like her mother, Midnight, who is a daughter of the renowed Patagonia herdsire, Caballero Andante. Florence possesses the same regal bearing and solid frame of her sire, Briar Rose's Atticus, a true black Macusani son. From him, she has inherited a sweet disposition. Calm and confident, she is easy to handle and even enjoys being petted! She had a nice cria out of our 2x champion Federico. Florence is a fantastic mom, an easy birther with lots of milk. She sells with a free breeding to any of our BSF herdsires.
