Onyx Frost's Frosty Miss

True Black, 801658, Full Chilean

What a name for a lovely girl - we just call her Frosty! Frosty has had many cria and her last two (true black and dark fawn) take their looks and size from the sire but their fleece is pure “Frosty”. It is luxurious with a wonderful handle. Her fleece is my favorite for knitting projects. Frosty has been bred to Great Rock Ellington for an August 2007 cria!

  MAPLE BROOK Conundrum
    Dark Brown, 840941, Full Chilean

Conundrum’s sire, often described as the “Best of the Black” is a Blue Ribbon Winner in 1999 MAPACA Jubilee,1999 AOBA National conference,1999 Virginia Classic, 2002 Get of Sire Big E. Conundrum is taking after his sire and has won several ribbons at AOBA, BigE, and 3rd place Halter NA Alpaca Show in 2005. He settled his first female last year and we now have his first cria on the ground - Great Rock Mr. Darcy.

Conundrum's fleece has very fine crimp. He is a spectacular color and it is hard to do justice to him in photos. Everyone who sees the yarn made from his fleece is amazed at the richness of the color, best described as a maroon. His confirmation is also spectacular and he has a very "typey" head.

GREAT ROCK Incan Prince Sold!

Listed by Kate & John Lathrop of Barre, MA

Print Listing | Certificate | Histogram

Incan Prince is a beautiful true black male with great heritage and velvety black fleece. His grandsire is Brittany's Desperado, another true black with lots of spirit which Prince has inheirited. His first shearing revealed an AFD of 21.1 - very low for a true black. Incan Prince held his Baby Alpaca fineness in his 2nd year clip with another AFD of 21.1 Incan Prince has inheirited his mother's lustrous True Black color to go along with his perfect conformation. Looking to add fineness to your herd?
