Brookhollow's Cerise

Light Rose Grey, 849887, 3/8 Chilean, 5/8 Peruvian

Cerise, a Royal Fawn granddaughter, is a gorgeous and most unusual color of light rose gray. She was shown as a yearling in light fawn and in light rose gray classes and took ribbons in both shows. She is personable with a sweet disposition who adapts to new surroundings very nicely and is a real pleasure to work with.
She is the daughter of Brookhollow's El Nino Royale and Skyeview's Willow, a lovely red brown lady. Cerise has produced two lovely females for us, Franchesca, who is a carbon copy of her dam in coloring and personality and Ginger who is out of our full Accoyo stud, Calypsa. This breeding was so exceptional that we have repeated it for a 2007 cria.

  SHRA Calypsa
    Light Fawn, 819705, Full Peruvian

A full Accoyo son of Felix and a grandson of Caligula on his dam's side, Calypsa possesses a regal bearing and perfect conformation. With his commanding presence, it is no surprise that Calypsa won a first place blue ribbon as a yearling at the 2001 AOBA Nationals. His lustrous, champagne-colored fleece is extremely fine and dense. His AFD at 4 years of age was a low 22.5 microns. This year he sheared an amazing 11 pounds of fleece! He continues to win blue ribbons for his fleece at the national conferences.

He has 25 outstanding crias on the ground showing a variety of colors including white, beige, fawn, light brown, true black, rose gray, and silver gray. Most recently,he has produced a handsome light brown boy named Harrison and a lovely little rose gray girl. Calypsa is one of those rare Accoyos who lets the color of the dam pass through while passing along his density and fineness to his crias.

At the 2005 East Meets West Auction, Calypsa's daughter, Brookh

Lady Ginger is Cerise's latest edition. What a lovely lady she is! Her face and legs and blanket are a lovely champagne color, a replica of her mom with the great density and fineness of her sire.
THIS JUST IN: Lady Ginger's histogram results just came back and she has an AFD of just 17.1 microns--WOW!

Ginger is full of energy and enjoys stirring up the herd with a pronk. She has been a good companion to her little brother and is fascinated with all the new babies.

She is one-half Accoyo, courtesy of her outstanding sire with his Felix and Caligula genetics. What more could anyone ask for? She also has a strong Peruvian influence from her dam, who is a Royal Fawn granddaughter.

Lady Ginger will be bred this coming spring.
