Medium Rose Grey, 809919, Full Chilean

Chiquita was the first rose grey import to enter the United States. She does not have an official DOB on her registration, however, I would say she is about 9 or 10 years old. She is a small framed girl who takes the lead out in the pasture everyday. She is at the top of the pecking order and takes no "crap" from anyone! Chiquita has perfectly straight legs, full coverage to the toes and no spots! She also has no tuxedo and is covered in soft, crimpy rose grey fiber.

Chiquita is a great mother. She has plenty of milk and watches over her crias in the most protective of ways. She is also an easy breeder and can carry a pregnancy and nurse well into the next pregnancy. Her offspring seem to grow larger than her, so her smallish frame may have been environmentally caused from lack of "the best" nuitrition on the altiplano. Chiquita has given us three beautiful females - see Rosie Godiva (Breeders Edge Auction 2005),Ganache (Florida Breeders Auction 2006) and in December 2

  Aussie Rockford
Medium Silver Grey, 804298, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Aussie Rockford has arrived in Texas. This amazing, half Accoyo gray has been famously siring champions and blue ribbon winners on the West Coast for years. Now he is here in Paradise! He has a beautiful silver gray fleece, extraordinarily dense and crimpy and is still maintaining a fine hand even at 10 years old. His conformation is excellent, with great presence and a beautiful, typey head. He passes all these attributes to his offspring along with his color. Of 133 registered offspring, over half are gray! And 105 are either black or gray, almost 80%! This is out of dams of varying color, including fawn and white! His offspring have gone on to win many championships and ribbons which I will update on here soon. In an independent statistical evaluation of offspring show results this year, he is in the top three of gray herdsires in the whole country!
In listing his offspring below, I purposely chose some of his sons who are working herdsires themselves so you can see the

After the first 5 Rockford girls were born (and 1 boy), we were expecting a boy as the odds were stacking up that way... BUT TO OUR SURPRISE, ANTOHER GIRL! The REAL SUPRPRISE WAS HER COLOR! We have NEVER seen a rose grey like the Dam, Chiquita, but Rockford helped to reproduce the females coloring and what a special and spectacular rose grey she is! I have never seen anything like it.. rose grey on the blanket and head - no tuxedo - then jet black underneath and inside the legs. What a beauty. She is straight, proud, crimpy and dense. When she is side by side with her Dam, they look so exotic! What an eye catcher this little "Bunny" will be. She was born on Easter Sunday, at noon... perfect birth, to a very attentive and protective dam. Last years cria from Chiquita is also a wonderful rose grey from Mcgwire, looks like the sire in
that case. Since Bunny is an improvement over Chiquita, one of them must be sold! I am so THANKFUL for such a successful run with the Rockford breedings... what a fantastic stud this guy really is and if bred correctly, can really bring out the grey and rose grey we are all looking for!
9-18-10... update, TB female cria born! Lovely little daughter of Socosani. Possibly the last Socosani female to EVER be born. She is straight, typey, and SMART. Seems strong as an ox! Lovely soft Tb with no cria tip damage. 2011 cria, female appy! Buy Easter Bunny rebred for just $5000, which includes her female appy cria! Special offer.

I was going to enter this female into the Florida auction, but after considering the cost of gas ($1000 round trip from Ohio), and the consignment cost plus commission cost, I just can't justify the expense in relation to the market prices and the past sales history of the auction. At $5K you are getting a great deal here.. she is rebred, plus you get her 6 month old FEMALE APPY cria at side and she is a beauty! Dense, soft and crimpy... straight with good size. Dark eyes and black mascara around the eyes, plus rose grey ears! Too cute!
