  Charles P. Atlas
    Medium Fawn, 1394924, Full Peruvian

The first 5 cria have arrived - They are 5 FEMALEs and 1 Male and they are gorgeous! Popcorn fleece with great density that shouts at you even in a photo. Take a look at the 2 photos at right. And notice the rich color.

Charles eagerly took to his new role as working herdsire at the precocious age of 18 months. Regal bearing, classic perfect conformation, handsome head, and oh his fiber. He is a 3/4 brother to Nationals Champion Monsanto, and shares his Quetzal (Accoyo Timoteo) and Peruvian Matador heritage. His shiny fawn fleece has character that jumps out at you and possesses great density. His 2006 and 2007 staple is about 5".

In addition to all of his physical attributes, Charles is a true gentleman. We are expecting 20+ cria in 2007 for his first production year. His stud fee will increase as the year progresses. Give us a call soon and a small deposit will lock in this price for your breeding. Drive-by discount available.

Dr. Julio Sumar found Mapquest to be close to perfect in his proportions and suggested that an artist should paint his likeness as an example for everyone. His fleece was also highly praised for its fineness, consistency, and density. Those attributes won him the blue ribbon in a large class of 12.

Mapquest is a member of the Group of 3 Charles P. Atlas cria who were awarded the Blue Ribbon at the Indiana Show in the Get of Sire category.

His dam is our true black Legacy of Bolivia daughter,Valente, who is also the dam of our herdsire Baron von Hershey. And his sire is Charles, who is the grandson of Peruvian Matador and Accoyo Timoteo and son of the great Peruvian Quetzal.

He has heavy bone, a perfect square body, and a broad chest. His legs are straight and strong. His fiber is very dense, fine, and was organized into bundles before he dried.

He is a smokey dark brown, black, that has a decidedly gray cast to it.

We held out a long time before we finally put a price on Mapquest. He is just too related to too many of our wonderful young herdsires and it makes more sense for him to have a career in another program.(Charles P. Atlas is his sire, Baron von Hershey is his brother, Whistler's Silver Dragon is his uncle, Sterling Apocalypse is his cousin)

Sooooo, if you are one of the many many breeders who frequently come back to look at his listing, he is now available for sale. The majority of his show career is ahead of him and the criation of some beautiful cria are in his future, so give us a call. We would consider a trade for a young female of equal quality.

We are proud to co-own Mapquest with our partners the Thompsons of Coffee Pot Farm.
