Sydney, a very typey white, 1/2 Accoyo female sired by the highest selling Huacaya in the World at the time, is curious and very sweet. Her 18.2 micron played a big part in her placing 2nd in a huge class of whites at her first show ever, the 2003 North American. Unfortunately, we missed her class at the 2003 Nationals, so were not certain how she would have done but we have a pretty good idea. In 2004, she has earned another 2nd Place ribbon at the largest ever North American (900 entries). All of the white halter classes Sydneys entered have been huge and extremely competitive yet she has ribboned in them all. Sydneys dam, Calendula, is a multiple ribbon winner and Reserve Champion. Cali boasts a 20.7 adult micron. Sydney is confirmed bred to our award-winning Legacy son, Legend. Imagine that cria an Augusto/Legacy cross! North American Peruvian Accoyo / Bolivian. ARI #836466
Add the Accoyo Legacy genetics to your herd and step it up a generation! Legacy's Legend is carrying on the success of his parents. His dam, AML Stephanie, is a multiple Blue Ribbon winner with consistent top-of-the-line offspring on the ground. His sire, the incomparable Accoyo Peruvian Legacy, was a multiple champion and the 2002 AAA Futurity Herd Sire of the Year. Legend's offspring, including our own PH Legend's Super Silas with his grand stature and his bright white fleece already showing great character and bundling, have impressed all. Legend took 1st Place at the 2002 Coastal Classic, 1st Place at the 2002 Empire Extravaganza and 3rd Place at the 2004 North American Alpaca Show and again at the 2004 Nationals. Proudly, he has placed in every extremely competitive white class he's entered. Legend stands bolt upright, has solid big bone and his bright white fleece, just under nine pounds at his 2005 shearing, is soft and dense with very bold crimp right down his legs a
We've often heard it said by a number of very well-respected breeders that an
AUGUSTO ~ LEGACY CROSS
is a sure winner. Thus, our decision to "introduce" our Augusto's Sydney to our Legacy's Legend. Super Silas has definitely confirmed that sentiment for us ... and the legendary Accoyo 3P Augusto and Accoyo 4P Legacy have worked their wonders again.
Silas (3/4 Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo) is particularly proud of his grand sires on both sides. 4 Peruvian Legacy, whose half-interest sold for $750,000, boasted senior fiber stats of 8 years of age: 22.1/3.9/17.9/3.3 9 years old: 21.8/4.0/18.3/2.3! AND Augusto who also set the sales record for his time!
Silas is a striking male and a "gentleman" with flawless confirmation, straight lines & solid bone. He possesses an elite fleece (19 micron 2006) and in 2008, he sheared 12 pounds of gorgeous bright white fiber. His fleece exhibits very pronounced bundling, incredible staple length, is bright white and carries tight crimp right down to the skin. In fact, his fleece is so dense that it's hard to see his skin!
Silas' dam, Sydney, has been one of our favorites from the time she was born and we couldn't be more pleased with her first cria.
Should Silas be sold, we will retain 3 breedings to this stunning male to ensure his genetics stay at Parris Hill Farm.
