MFI Tropical Delight

Dark Brown, 847465, 1/2 Peruvian

Tropical Delight is a beautiful dark brown female who has given us our 10X Black Color Champ Rumm Runner, and she's done it again! Her 2007 cria, Mesquite's Tropical Storm, is a stunning fawn male with fine, dense, extremely bright fleece! Tropical's sire is MFI Peruvian Donovan, a multi-Champ award winner, and her grandsire is Accoyo Peruvian Augusto. Donovan's and Augusto's bloodlines are noted for dense, elite fleeces, and Tropical definitely passes on these characteristics. With her genetics and champion service sires, she has delivered outstanding results for us.

  MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite
    True Black, 810349, Full Peruvian

Like his incredible sire before him (4Peruvian Matador) Black Mesquite is already producing champion offspring: Ineffable, Butterball, Panasche and Oil Slick to name a few. Black Mesquite's offspring dominated at the 2005 and 2006 AOBA National fleece shows, claiming 6 of the 8 championships--every one entered won a championship or a reserve championship, both years. His rock-solid color genetics and incredible dense, crimpy fleece makes this pre-potent male "one-of-a-kind". His outside breedings are limited.

Fineness, density, conformation, character, staple length, coverage, crimp--Stormy has them all and the judges have said so!! His fleece is extremely bright, fine, dense, and crimpy. Stormy is following in the footsteps of his bay black half-brother, 10x Champ Rumm Runner. Stormy's sire, MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite, has limited outside breedings, and we can see why. Stormy's lighter color comes from his great grandsire PPPeruvian Augusto. The rest of Stormy's genetics are blacks and browns, so we expect that he should throw color when he starts to breed.

Stormy takes 1st Place, Halter, at the 2008 Ohio Buckeye Show and the 2008 MAPACA Jubilee!! Tim Lavan said that Stormy had the best brightness, most consistent fleece coverage and had consistent crimp throughout. At his first show (Level V 2008 Indiana), Stormy earned second, with Peter Kennedy stating that his fleece was finer and had more character than the first place alpaca. At the 2008 Kentucky Classic, Stormy placed second in his class, to the eventual color champion. And Jill McLeod said, "both animals are very strong and these breeders will do well with these animals. They both are well-conformed, have density, fineness, staple length, character."

Stormy's dam, Tropical Delight (1/4 Accoyo), also gave us our 10X Color/Reserve Champion herdsire Rumm Runner, and at the 2008 Buckeye Show, Stormy and Runner delivered 1st in "Produce of Dam" for Tropical Delight! With Augusto, Donovan, Matador, and Black Mesquite in Stormy's background he is carrying on the tradition of ribbons in the show ring, and we expect him to have a great breeding career. Stormy will bring quality and Champion genetics to your breeding program.
