Lucy AF04

Medium Brown, 811647, Chilean

Lucy is a pure suri out of two white Chilean suris. Her certificate says she's light fawn, but we see her color as closer to medium brown. She's a strong girl and a great mother.

  Pperuvian Bruxo G4575
    White, 123070, Full Peruvian

One of the great suri herdsires in N. America today, Bruxo has sired many champions, including Helios, MacGuyver and many others. He passes on his luster, fineness, uniform fleece and outstanding conformation. Bruxo is a gentleman, and his gentle, sweet temperament is passed to his cria.

Ricardo is an outstanding example of the suri genre, with lovely luster and locks. His sire is none other than the famous Bruxo, and Ricardo carries himself like the Bruxo son he is. His fiber is fabulous, and he has that famous mellow temperament that made the Bruxo line famous.

We knew he was a wonderful companion - how fun to have the Cal Classic judge agree!! Ricardo won the Open Gelding class in April 07, the best gelding in the show!!!

You can see his striking presence and excellent conformation from this photo taken at age 5 months! His 12 month staple length was 7 inches, with excellent handle.

Ricardo is as healthy as an alpaca can be! With that mellow Bruxo temperament, he handles like a dream, and will stand patiently for anything you ask of him. He walks well under halter, will go anywhere and gets along with his mates.

Ricardo is just the best gelding you'll ever meet, for his fiber, conformation, temperament and handling. He's our favorite for PR, working with kids and helping new folks to touch a great suri fleece.

Ricardo was gelded because he just didn't measure up to our high standards for a breeding male, but he's a lovely suri and a healthy alpaca. He's a pleasure to work with, and he is bomb-proof around kids.

This is the caliber of gelded fiber male that every breeding farm should aspire to produce. We don't breed with the boys who are "really nice", we only breed with the "Really Great" ones! When we all have fiber boys of this caliber, this industry will have survived to become sustainable. Boys like Ricardo are the backbone of the fiber production industry.
