WGA Royal Black Velvet

True Black, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Royal Black Velvet is aptly named. She is a little princess with a lovely velvet-soft fleece. She carries herself proudly and has great conformation, excellent coverage, nice straight legs, and good bite. She comes from a background of extraordinary genetic heritage (grand daughter of Dom Lucilio and daughter of CPeruvian Axtion Jackson, who carries a depth of solid black color in his lineage.
Velvet has recently produced a lovely true black girl for us--Helena--from the union of our silver gray herdsire, BSF Chilton. She will soon be bred to our gray herdsire, Eduardo for a fall 2008 cria.

  BSF Chilton
Medium Silver Grey, 836398, Full Chilean

Want to add some gray to your herd? Chilton can do the job! Chilton is big and bold with a gorgeous head. His conformation is excellent with perfect bite, correct proportions, straight legs, and good bone.
His sire's sire is The Colorado Pisarata, an outstanding gray male (who has an amazing 91 crias on the ground!) and is still standing at stud at age 14 at Ore Hill Farm in Virginia.
Chilton's fleece is exceptionally fine. Handspinners love his color, fineness and staple length and find it easy to spin. His fleece continues to win top ribbons in national level shows.

Chilton has a commanding presence in the field. He is now five years old and has two crias on the the ground, a beautiful medium silver gray girl (who won a third place ribbon at the SEPA show in a large class) and now a gorgeous true black (charcoal gray???) female.

This new girl from Chilton is out of our black female, Royal Black Velvet. She is a true black cria with a charcoal gray hue t

Helena is totally black and lovely. She has really matured nicely into a great foundation female. She is destined to be a tall, large-framed girl following in her sire's footsteps. She has excellent conformation, with straight legs, and a good bite. She has no tipping in her jet black fleece, which is soft and velvety like her dam. Her staple length is excellent. She has reasonably dense fleece with good coverage on her legs.
She has the proud, upright bearing of her sire.
Her genetics are impressive from outstanding Peruvian & Chilean lines: CPeruvian Jaxon, Dom Lucilio, and Patagonia's Caballero Andante
She should be ready to breed this fall.

UPDATE: Look for Helena at the Illusion Ranch Auction on May 16th at the Greater Phila. Convention Center in Oaks, PA.
She will be sold with a free breeding to any of our outstanding herdsires.
