Alpaca Heights Shades' Viper Sold!
Print Listing | Certificate | Histogram

Viper's sire is the well known HA Shades of Gray that stands stud at Stachowski Alpacas and who has won multiple awards. His dam is a True Black import that I purchased from Alpaca Jack's when they also had a select herd of huacayas, and she has produced very nice offspring, two of which have been Blue Ribbon winners, including a National F2F spinoff first place fleece award.

Viper's color more closely resembles maroon and it will be interesting what he passes on to his offspring.

Being a medium sized male, I think he's also a good choice for smaller maidens that you don't want to match up to too large of a male.

Co-owned with Hager Farm Alpacas.

6Peruvian Xanadu 6541 IMPR98

True Black, 808430, Full Peruvian

Alpaca Jack's let me have my pick of their 3 black import huacayas a few years ago and I felt Xanadu was the best. She's long and stretchy with a straight topline and board straight legs. Her fiber has an exceptional softness (and brightness) for a black as you can see by her micron numbers. She's been an easy breeder, and an easy birther, putting 4 healthy babies on the ground for me since I've owned her. All around excellent mother with abundant milk for her babies.
