Nadia's parents have been excellent producers for me. Her import dam has thrown 6 girls in a a row and the old gal still has a micron of 25.4 at 12 years of age! Her sire, Peruvian Cisco, is a Quicksilver son who also sired the infamous Shaquille.

Cisco's true black son Maximus is a Color Champion and Multiple Blue Ribbon winner that has been praised by many judges around the country, at least one of which said 'I knew my first place animal as soon as he walked in the ring!'.

Nadia has fiber to die for.....a purple/gray hue of crimpy dense fleece that is extremely soft to boot!

For Nadia's 3rd pregnancy, we've chosen Color Champion and Multi-Blue winner Commanche Chief of Gagetown, a son of one of our own herdsires here at Alpaca Heights. I photographed Chief back when he was a yearling and I couldn't believe my eyes when his owner opened his fleece! Buttery soft rose gray fleece, thin zipper crimp locks and super long stable with neck fiber that is med. silver gray! He has a beefy frame with a nice average height. We think this match-up should produce a very nice offspring.

  Awards Received
MIAF 2006, 2nd place fleece winner. Judge Amy Bliss-Miller gave her a 12 out of 15 for fineness, 5 out of 5 for handle, 8/8 for micron, 7/7 for length, 5/5 for color!

MIAF 2007, 5th place Fleece, Judge Amy Bliss-Miller.

Affectionately known as Nervie here on the farm, this import gal has unbelievable fiber stats! She also has an unbelievable streak of having ALL girls since I purchased her many years ago from Stachowski Alpacas, 6 of them in a row so far thru 2006. She's due again on May 19, 2007 so we can't wait what will happen this year as she is bred to gray again after throwing a gray girl her last pregnancy(Nadia).

Nervie is the least pleasant girl to work with as she is super protective of her young. Let's just say we practically need a helmet at birthing time to tend to her cria! We love what she does though so we just give her lots of TLC and much deserved rests now between pregnancies so she continues to do what she does best...be an excellent foundation animal with plenty of milk for her babies and breeds back on 1 breeding practically every pregnancy.

The proof is in the progeny they say, and all you have to do is take a look at true black Little Reata's Peruvian Maximus, a Multi-Blue Ribbon winner & recent Color Champion that has gotten rave reviews from judges across the country. Max's full sister, Little Reata's Cest La Vie is a stunning dark silver gray who will undoubtably follow in her brother's footsteps. Here at Alpaca Heights, I have Peruvian Nadia, a medium silver gray with fleece to die for. Her micron came back at 22.2 at 11 months of age and she will be breeding to our Goldsmith son, Providence Laurent in Spring 2007.

Cisco's sire, Peruvian Quicksilver, was a 1st pick owner selection in the Peruvian Prestige recognized for his great fiber and currently resides on the East Coast.

If you're looking for quality rare genetics and density you can bounce a tennis ball off of, this macho should be on your short list. He is passing on his mild, mellow temperament to his offspring, another bonus.
