2/20/2008 - Rewind has moved from the Tillman's ranch in Oregon and is now bringing his excellent genetics to the states east of the Mississippi. Rewind was the White Color Champion at the West Coast's largest alpaca show in 2006, The Alpaca Western Extravaganza and 2nd place 2 year male, at the 2006 AOBA, competing in 3rd fleece against virgin and 2nd fleece Accoyos. According to the Suri Breed Standard, luster is the number 1 valued characteristic. Rewind "is demonstrably the brightest white Suri Alpaca in America" according to Andy Tillman in his Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) research, measuring the number of scales on each fiber. The lower the number of scales, the higher the reflective value of each fiber. Rewind had the lowest number of scales at 4.5 cuticle scales per 100 micron.
