He has the soft, dense, crimpy, bright fiber that his sire is so famous for. He is truly in a class by himself, and we are proud to have been able to purchace him!

This very special alpaca is for sale only because my strict new herd thinning rules allow only one per family, and I am keeping her daughter. American pie Is an examplre of a beautiful winning gal who produces beautiful winning offspring. She has been great since she was young. She is a daughter of Peruvian Silvino, and gets her lovely color from him. I sold her as a weanling, but showed her for my clients at Nationals, where she won. Julio Sumar comented that she was a shining example of "where we should be going in breeding our grey alpacas". When my clients decided to get out of the buisiness, I got her back. She has maintained the lovely character and hand in her lavender grey fleece. She produces good staple and has better density than we usually find in greys. She is a large gal, built square on extremely heavy bone. Pie is an easy birther, who has even let other crias take a nip from her copious supply of milk. Challenger's fleece literally takes your breath away with it's fineness and degree of consistent eye-popping crimp from the top of his head down his legs. It truly has the look and feel of many superior white fleeces. Great density makes this fleece a complete package. He sheared a 4.1 lb blanket of cria fleece alone.

Challenger did very well in the showring, and almost every judge remarked on his "superior male development." His first cria are beautiful silver greys.
